Local First Springfield kicks off its third annual Buy Local Month

Springfield Buy Local Month encourages support for our member businesses and organizations during the holiday season. Buy Local Month launched in 2018 and is now a key event in the Local First Springfield calendar.

Buy Local Month coincides with Small Business Saturday, on November 28, launched by American Express in 2010. Its Small Business Economic Impact Study in 2019 found that for every $1 spent at a small business, 67 cents will stay in the local community, and every $1 spent at a small business creates an additional 50 cent impact for the local economy.

We implore members to help support local businesses now – and always.

Special thanks to Crowdson Creative and Kate Spencer Photography for their work in helping to prepare for another successful Buy Local Month.
