Want to support local but don’t know where to start? Easy answer, drink local. The Springfield area has a thriving beer scene that continues to grow. There’s a passionate community that has built and supports multiple craft breweries. None of these establishments will disappoint.


Downtown Springfield breweries


Started in 2018. This brewery is serving a number of beers brewed in-house with distillery offerings to come in the future. Bring your own food and enjoy any number of board games. They also specialize in craft coffee. 



Doors opened in 2018 and this brewery has not looked back since. The multilevel taproom creates a unique atmosphere for all to enjoy. Bring your own food and enjoy the wide selection of house made craft beers.
















This Springfield staple opened in 2012 and has served great food and beer since. The large outdoor patio is full of fun and games while being both family and dog friendly. Whether inside or outside, the atmosphere is as good as it gets.


Other Springfield breweries



This farm to table restaurant and microbrewery is located at Legacy Pointe and has been serving great beer and food since 2013. The menu features seasonal local ingredients and is accompanied by an exciting list of house brewed craft beers.





The newest addition to the craft beer scene opened its doors in 2019. The small taproom and brewery is located on the west side of Springfield and is dedicated to serving high quality beer. This bring-your-own food establishment is a great place to try a wide variety of beers.


Sangamon County breweries 


Established in 2011 and located in Cantrall, this brewery farms a majority of their ingredients on their 1,400-acre farm. Plan a visit to the seasonal taproom located on the farm or pick up any number of Rolling Meadows’ beers, which are canned and on the shelf in many central Illinois liquor departments.
